Can you believe it I was so excited about my new adventure and blogging about it that I forgot to mention the small fact that my biopsies came back clear, got the news last night! How cool is that. Delirious and I'm sure the head thing is a trapped nerve, I just need to go see the physio.
Off to Marrakesh next weekend, can you believe its our 10th wedding anniversary. Yes yes sun eventually, pray for me that there isnt a blooming monsoon or something, be just my luck.
Got to dash keep promising to go to the gym and havent gotten there yet....... so I'm going right now.

ReplyDeleteA friend of ours has just been diagnosed this week with exactly the same form of cancer and is considering her options. They are proposing exactly the same treatment that you received. Firstly thank you for sharing your experience, its really helpful.
I would love to know if you would recommend this treatment or you would consider any other alternatives first?

I do not have cancer but I admire all of your openness about it. I have an old friend yet we don't really keep in touch too often, who had the cancer and she has a colostomy, and is just living life the best she can. Thank you for sharing you're stories. I am an avalanche survivor, and I can just imagine how when your first diagnosed it must feel like an avalanche has hit you. God bless Tania and you all!!! You will survive this Avalanche!
ReplyDeleteIt was great to find this web site. My wife had anal cancer, and she went though so many of the same experiences. You talked about getting radiation -- she would come out of radiation with her face all flushed. I would ask "does the radiation make your face flush?" She said "no, it's having all these doctors stare at your bottom." Best of luck to you.

I had anal cancer last year and after 5 weeks of radiotherapy and 2 lots of chemotherapy feel great. Am still having 4 monthly check ups. The radiotherapy was horrific burnt all my insides but that was last year. Your blog is brilliant thank you . Jenny xx
